This privacy notice explains how the Botpresso hiring team
("Botpresso", "we", "us", "our") collects and
processes personal data of candidates who apply to roles with us.
Botpresso operates from Maharashtra, India.
2. What Data We Collect
When you submit an application, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- LinkedIn profile URL
- Portfolio URL
- Cover letter link
- Resume file
- Current annual CTC
- Expected annual CTC
- Monthly in-hand compensation
- Notice period
- Experience
- Free-text answers in the application form
During our hiring process, we may also collect:
- Interview notes
- Evaluation ratings
- Stage updates in our hiring pipeline
- Internal notes
3. Why We Collect It
We collect this data solely to evaluate your fit for the role you
applied for. The lawful basis under the DPDP Act 2023 is your specific, informed consent
given via the application form.
We do not use your data for marketing, sell it, or share it with
third-party employers or recruiters. Hiring decisions are made by
our human team, and any internal scores or metrics are only
decision aids.
4. How Long We Keep It
- Active applications: data is retained while
your application is being evaluated.
- Hired candidates: data is retained per Indian
labour law requirements and may be transferred to our HR
systems on hire.
- All data stays securely in our system. You can request deletion
at any time (see Section 6).
5. Who We Share It With
- Internal hiring team only: access is restricted
to leadership, hiring managers, and team members assigned to
your application.
- Database provider: Supabase Inc. hosts our
database in the ap-south (Mumbai, India) region under standard
security measures.
- We do not share your data with marketers, external recruiters,
other employers, or any third parties not listed above.
6. Your Rights
You can request deletion of your personal data at any time. For
such requests:
- Email us at hr@botpresso.com with your full name and the email you used for your
application.
- We will permanently remove personal identifiers while retaining
anonymized structural data needed for hiring analytics.
- Structural data cannot be linked back to you.
7. Security
Your resume and application data are stored securely and can only
be accessed by authorized hiring team members.
Salary slips, identity, and education documents are not stored on
the platform — we only record a "received yes/no" status
for these.
8. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes
will be communicated to candidates with active applications. The
"Last updated" date and version number indicate the most recent
change.
